Adventure Landing Creates a Splash on Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Year 2002) - Daytona Beach boasts one of Florida’s most exciting waterpark and entertainment centers as part of the Ocean Walk Village - the new multi-million dollar oceanside tourism district opening in phases through Spring 2004 along the Atlantic shoreline - Adventure Landing. Featuring the Sunshine State’s first wet/dry super slide, the Caribbean-themed park boasts five acres of family fun with a tangle of tubes, tunnels and towers, a massive wave pool and a “Pelican’s Drift River” meandering throughout the complex, three nine-hole miniature golf courses, a two-level go-kart track and more than 130 video games. Twelve sensational water slides include unique signatures of Adventure Landing thrills.

Blackbeard’s Revenge

The only wet/dry slide in Florida, the 75-foot, totally enclosed tower is a plunging raft ride with back-to-back curves and exhilarating drops.

Panama Jack’s Slideaway

Three different inner tube slides within a 55-foot tower loop, turn and twist for 400 feet. The Cave is an exhilarating run through the pitch dark, The Canyon is fully open, and The Cavern combines the chills of both.

Castaway Bay

The centerpiece of the waterpark is a three-level tree house with six slides winding throughout and featuring interactive water surprises such as a giant bucket dumping 1,000 gallons of water on unsuspecting visitors, bursting water cannons and more than 250 spraying nozzles.

Adventure Mountain

Two tornado-configuration body slides, complete with fog, sound and lighting effects, rise 60 feet above the park.

Treasure Lagoon Wave Pool

Surf’s up at the 18,000-square-foot pool, holding more than 500,000 gallons of water to create rolling four-foot waves.
